Welcome to The Melon Bra

Storytime…
When I was a young girl, I noticed that I was growing faster than the other girls. I’m not talking about my height (I maxed out at a whopping 5’2”). I had the biggest boobs out of any other classmate.
I remember one summer when I was 10-years-old trying to go braless. At the time, I recall being a C-cup, but who knows how accurate that is considering I was wearing the wrong size for years.
All the other girls could pull off wearing cute, skimpy tops so why couldn’t I?
Not wearing a bra to camp was an absolute nightmare! I was extremely self-conscious the whole day and couldn’t wait to go home. It was very difficult to have fun because the whole time I was worried about my boobs bouncing around or my nipples poking through my shirt.
How silly I was to think that I could pull off not wearing a bra, especially when I was supposed to be running around and playing. It was all over when I got the bright idea to attempt a cartwheel. I was mortified. I never tried to go braless again…until recently.
Growing up, I was always athletic compared to my peers but eventually became overweight. I had no self-confidence because I was embarrassed by my body. I wore baggy clothes that made me look heavier and tried to conceal as much as possible.
For many, many years to follow I wore the wrong size and remained ignorant
It wasn’t until I started buying my own bras that I began educating myself about my correct size. I ordered bras online that actually fit and were comfortable. I learned so much and continue to learn more about my body.
I was able to finally get the proper support that I desperately needed. I developed a more active lifestyle thanks to supportive sports bras and ultimately gained more confidence. I became an overall happier person.
It’s amazing what the right fitting bra can do for you and I know a lot of you can relate. I want to share my knowledge and help other women learn to appreciate their bodies.
XOXO,
Stephanie
P.S. What do you struggle with most when it comes to finding a good bra?
