I’m just your average (not-so-average busted) girl.
Growing up, I wore the wrong bra until college.
My boobs grew in early. I remember being a C-cup (most likely bigger) when I was only 10-years-old.
Not having access to the resources I had when I got older, I struggled to gain control over my big breasts. I knew I was wearing the wrong size but didn’t know what to do about it.
How could I figure out my correct bra size? Where could I go to buy my size bras? These were some of the questions I desperately wanted to figure out but didn’t have the means to for a long time.
The closest I came to getting measured was at Victoria’s Secret during my senior year of high school for prom. That was such a joke. (A story for a later time)
I can’t remember if I got my first properly fitting bra online or from a local boutique.
Either way, it wasn’t until college, when I had a debit card so that I could make purchases (online) and had my license to drive to the boutique.
Wearing the proper fitting bra completely CHANGED MY LIFE! For the first time, I felt like I had the support I needed and my confidence was through the roof. It was great!
I was able to be the happy and healthy self that I am thanks to wearing the correct bra.
What is The Melon Bra?
The Melon Bra is a resource for all things boobs, bras, and body positivity.
It’s a fact that many women wear the wrong bra size.
I know that a lot of you can relate to not knowing your size and struggling with mediocrity, especially if you have a small frame while being blessed/cursed with bigger than average breasts like I do.
It’s my mission to help women understand that their bodies are beautiful while giving them some extra guidance dealing with DD+ breasts.
I want to share my experiences and knowledge that I’ve gained over the years.
Even though I am full-busted, I want this to be a safe place for people of all shapes and sizes.
I frequently address “women” but I want this community to be a resource for men and transgender people as well.
It’s important to me that everyone loves themselves.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you and assisting you with your boob journey.
